PRAY WITHOUT CEASING

PRAY WITHOUT CEASING

Praying is something that we are commanded to do and which is very important for developing a close, personal relationship with God. Since joining My Space, I've been overwhelmed at all the prayer requests that come up so decided to begin using this idea to be sure I cover everything and can easily add new ones.

In "Redeeming Love" by Francine Rivers, I found a GREAT prayer system that beats both the prayer list idea and the prayer journal idea which I'd like to share with everyone! It's much easier to manage and consequently, takes less time. Ready, here it is:

It's called a prayer box. Very simple, but oh, so practical and encouraging!

Write down specific things you are praying about, but only one per paper. (Optional: put the date you started praying and the date it was answered.)

When the request is answered, put the date of the answer (optional: and how it was answered), fold the paper up and put it in your "prayer box."

Once your box gets full, then just take them all out and type up a list and start over again.

Advantages:
1. You can take as few or many as you have time for and don't need to spend time reading over your same list looking for those that haven't yet been answered.

2. You have a great record of your answered prayers! It's very encouraging to go through them when you hit a rough spot in life and may begin having doubts.

I hope this helps some others improve their prayer life.
