Bus Adventure
I had quite the trip to work this morning. I walked to the bus stop and saw the bus coming down State Rd. while I was still on the other side of the street from the bus stop so I hurried up to cross the street half way before the cars came but then had to wait for the cars to stop coming from the other way and then the bus was at the bus stop! It had to stop to let on a lady and a nice driver stopped so I could cross when they figured I was trying to get to the bus. Then I started running for it but my clunky boots tripped me up and I went sprawling down in the middle of the street! Fortunately, it is a turn lane in the middle so it was sort of a safety zone. Also, I fell over sideways so was still in the middle. I bounced back up and ran right in front of the bus and almost got hit by the bus because I guess the driver didn't see me, the the lady that got on screamed so he stopped and I made it! I was pretty shook up though. I had my big blue L.L. Bean coat on so I didn't get hurt except for a little skinned knee. Good thing I had my thicker cordurouys on for casual Friday because they didn't get ripped like thinner pants may have. I'm glad God watches out for me even when I do some dumb things. The bus was a little earlier than it has been.10Vote!
