Spunky Doodle's Story by Spunky

MEOW!  I have spent much time watching Karen at the computer and now it's my turn.  Here's my background:

Her dad was very nice to me when I was born by his house.  He was a kind old man who fed my mama and us kitties.  I remember when I was first born, he would bring me milk.  He even took my picture rolling in the driveway.  He had a very big tree on his tree lawn and I remember him laughing at me when I tried to climb it.  I was only a little kitten at the time.

The kids in the neighborhood used to come and visit us.  They would pick us up and pet us and then one by one, they took my brothers and sisters to live with them.  One day in July, Karen brought me home in a cat carrier to live with her, Gerard and a big old furry male cat named Moe.

I was kept in a very nice upstairs den with a window and great afternoon sun.  In the evenings when Karen came home from work, she would bring me downstairs in the carrier to visit Mr. Moe.  He pretty much ignored me after he hissed at me.  I just wanted to get out and play with him.  Eventually, he quit hissing all the time and I did get to play with him.  I loved chasing him and following him around.

Then about 6 months after I moved in, I had to go to a very bad place where a vet declawed my front paws and spayed me.  It was very scary but I guess Karen didn't like getting a scratched up when she played with me.  I did tear the curtains by accident one day.  I just laid around the first couple days but then I recovered okay.  It took about a week for me to be able to use litter again.  I had to go on torn up newspaper which I didn't like!

I lost my friend, Mr. Moe, on Jan. 1, 2008!  It was very sad.  Gerard and Karen both cried.  I watched Gerard put Moe in the ground in the back yard.  He was 15 1/2 years old and all of a sudden, had trouble even walking and standing the last couple days of his life.  I miss him.

Maybe Karen and Gerard will get me another cat friend soon!
