Almost Lost It!

Yesterday coming home from work on the bus I called Gerard on my cell phone as usual when I got close to home so he knew it was time to come meet me at the bus stop.  This way he doesn't waste his time standing there if the bus is late or if I miss the bus.  (This was the only reason we finally got cell phones for Christmas last year!) 

I was getting off at the back door and pulled the cord to signal the driver to stop.  I happened to look down and there on the seat was my cell phone!  Yikes!  I quickly grabbed it and put it back in my pocket.  I had dress pants on with the slit pockets on the side, and apparently it fell out after I had put it back after making the call. 

I love how God watches over me: (a) the seat I chose to sit in was right across from the back door where I was standing waiting to get off, (b) I looked back.  If I had been in any other seat, I wouldn't have noticed it!  What caused me to look back? 

I thanked the Lord as soon as I hopped off that bus for his help in avoiding what would have been another one of life's little hassles.
